Charlotte’s NoDa neighborhood is no stranger to standout culinary experiences—but Ever Andalo offers something particularly special. Nestled on North Davidson Street, this cozy yet elevated Italian spot brings the flavors of northern Italy right to the heart of the Queen City.
A Family Legacy with a Charlotte Twist
Ever Andalo is the creation of local restaurateurs Jeff Tonidandel and Jamie Brown, known for shaping some of Charlotte’s most beloved eateries—including Haberdish, Supperland, and Growlers Pourhouse. Ever Andalo pays tribute to Tonidandel’s family roots in the alpine village of Andalo, Italy.
In early 2022, the duo closed their longtime concept Crepe Cellar Kitchen & Pub and, in just four weeks, transformed the space into Ever Andalo. It officially opened on March 3, 2022, and quickly became a NoDa favorite.
The Ambience: Bright, Botanical, and Inviting
Stepping inside Ever Andalo feels like walking into a friend’s thoughtfully curated European home. The botanical wallpaper, sunny color palette, and expanded windows create a light, welcoming atmosphere—perfect for everything from date nights to dinners with friends.

Let’s Talk Food: A Northern Italian-Inspired Feast
We recently visited Ever Andalo with our good friends Paul and Melissa, and sampled a variety of dishes that truly showcase the menu’s range and creativity.
Starters We Loved
Whole Fried Artichokes: Crisp, golden, and served with lemon-sage aioli.
Salt-Roasted Beets: Paired with whipped gorgonzola mousse, green apple, and toasted pistachios.
Fresh Focaccia with D.O.P. Olive Oil: Naturally leavened and served with housemade ricotta, honey, and pistachios. (D.O.P. stands for Denominazione di Origine Protetta, a certification for authentic Italian products.)
Grilled Octopus: A highlight—tender, flavorful, and served with sun-dried tomato vinaigrette and chili oil.

Entrées That Impressed
Mushroom Tortelloni: (Melissa’s pick) Rich porcini cream, truffle oil, and parmesan made this a must for mushroom lovers.
Branzino Filet: (Beth and Paul’s pick) Cooked perfectly with a white balsamic mignonette and crisped skin. Moist, flaky, and full of flavor.
San Marzano Rigatoni: (my choice) Tossed in a tomato cream sauce with citrus breadcrumbs. Good, though not my personal favorite.
Ending on a Sweet Note
Though full, we shared two desserts:
Tiramisu: Classic and creamy, though not a standout.
White Chocolate Caramel Ice Cream: Rich and smooth—this one stole the show.

Final Take: A NoDa Gem Worth Visiting
Ever Andalo brings a refined yet approachable take on Northern Italian dining to Charlotte’s NoDa neighborhood. Whether you're indulging in fresh housemade pasta or enjoying a quiet evening with friends, the atmosphere and menu create a memorable dining experience.
