Most people who come to this page are trying to answer a simple question: Is Jim someone I’d want to work with?

Some are considering hiring Fagan Realty Group to help them buy or sell a home here in Charlotte. Others have heard me on a podcast or through the industry and are curious about working with me as a coach. Either way, the decision comes down less to résumés and more to trust.

I’ve spent my entire career working with people—first in insurance, then in real estate, and now in coaching. What has never changed is how I approach the work. I don’t see myself as a salesperson. I see myself as an advisor. My job is to help people slow down, think clearly, and make decisions they feel good about—not just today, but years from now.

Here in Charlotte, I lead Fagan Realty Group. We work with buyers and sellers across many different situations, but the common thread is that our clients want thoughtful guidance, honest communication, and someone who will put their interests first. Real estate can be emotional and stressful, and I believe it helps to have someone steady in your corner—someone who isn’t pushing an agenda, but helping you evaluate your options and move forward with confidence.

Over the years, as our business grew and matured, other agents began asking how we built what we built. That eventually led me into coaching, and more recently into a formal role with MAPS Coaching through Keller Williams. Today, I coach real estate agents from around the country—many of whom are already successful—who want more clarity, structure, and intentionality in their businesses.

My coaching style mirrors how I work with clients. I’m calm, direct, and thoughtful. I ask questions that help people see things more clearly and make better decisions for themselves. I’m less interested in quick fixes and more focused on helping people build something sustainable—something that supports the rest of their lives instead of competing with it.

What connects both sides of my work is relationships. I’ve always been deeply relational, and I care about doing work that matters with people I respect. Whether someone works with me as a client or as a coaching partner, my goal is the same: to serve well, offer sound advice, and help people navigate important seasons with clarity and confidence.

If that approach resonates with you, we’re likely a good fit. If not, that’s okay too. This page exists simply to help you decide.
